After getting home from work this morning, I discovered that my wonderful Insurance company had withdrawn over double of the payment that was necessary for my plan. I had transferred my online gieco insurance membership from my old vehicle to my new one last month over the phone. I decided to go online and check my policy only to discover that there had been changes made to the original policy that we’re not needed. I made the changes and recalculated my future payments based off of the new policy. If you have online insurance it is easy and convenient to make changes to your account and find the solutions to your needs without going through any technical support. However, when making changes or transfers of account information over the phone be sure to check any changes online and verify the payment information before the payments are due. This will prevent any future inconveniences and unnecessary expenses. Here is a list of a few more Insurance tips that may help you save time and money.
1. Verify everything!
When making any kind of changes always verify the information online and/or with your insurance agent.
2. Compare prices
Never take the first offer based on convenience always check at least a few different policy quotes.
3. Despite their catchy commercials gieco is not always the cheapest.
Although gieco is often a cheaper option it is not always. Particularly for new drivers gieco is rarely the better choice. I’ve actually found Allstate to be very cooperative and affordable to new drivers.
